All registered participants are welcome to propose posters, especially youth, students and early career researchers and aquaculturists. Accepted posters will be displayed online. In addition, posters from in-person participants may be displayed in the Conference venue.
To propose a poster, please use the form below to submit your abstract. Only posters with accepted abstracts will be displayed. Posters and abstracts must be in English.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be informed by email. Acceptance will be based on the clarity of the abstract, its relevance to the thematic area, as well as its contribution to the overall GCA +20 objectives and the overarching theme “Aquaculture for food and sustainable development”.
Limited funding is available to facilitate the participation of youth in the GCA +20. Funding is designated for persons 35 years old or younger, hailing from developing countries, who have submitted a technically outstanding poster. Awardees will be selected by the Poster Committee and will be notified directly on a revolving basis.
Presenters who identify themselves, by clicking the “youth” box as part of their registration, will automatically be entered into a poster competition. Winners will receive an opportunity to present a “lightening presentation” during a plenary session on the last day. This is an opportunity for young researchers to present to a large audience. Winners will also be invited to prepare a brief article for the FAO Aquaculture Newsletter and will have their names included in the Conference Proceedings. Additional prizes may be arranged at a later date.
Judging will be undertaken by selected experts with the winners being notified with sufficient time to prepare their presentations.
